Friend-

I think we might be at a turning point. The national mood is changing very quickly.

I’ll give you an example: Democrats finally figured out how to do legislative jujitsu and pulled a fast one on Mitch McConnell this week. That is not a typo. And the GOP is so far gone down the ultra-MAGA rabbit hole that they decided the best response was to vote against a bill bringing semiconductor manufacturing jobs to America. Again, not a typo. 187 House Republicans voted against it.

This is going to be an anchor around their necks for the next 102 days, all the way to November 8th. But we have a lot of work to do to keep it there. As Trippi keeps saying – they double down on the crazy, we double down on the work.

Which brings me to Ohio, where JD Vance is desperately trying to avoid any kind of coverage, because every time he opens his mouth, he inserts his foot squarely in it.

Ohio voters are noticing. Remember that turning point I mentioned? Polls now reliably have Tim Ryan up between 2-4 points. In Ohio. But there are several hundred thousand Bannon line voters that are probably going to pull the lever for the Republican candidate, by rote, unless we shake them loose. This is a great example of how we’re going to do it:

If you told me even 3 months ago that we could win Ohio if we could a) make a crazy cryptofascist make unforced errors and b) tell a unique story to suburban Republicans I probably would have rolled my eyes. But we’re in a new climate now. That’s the reality.

When I see what’s coming around the corner, I almost feel bad for JD, in a way. But then I remember… no, no I don’t.

Time to drop the hammer.
