Friend,

What some scientists are calling a "heat apocalypse" hit Europe last week leading to thousands of deaths. Tens of thousands more have fled ahead of encroaching wildfires.

Since then, record heat has hit nearly every region of the United States.

Let me be very clear, if we don't act swiftly, this will be the coldest summer of the rest of our lives and these climate disasters will only get deadlier.

Now more than ever, we need leaders who will put climate at the top of their priorities and boldly push real solutions.

Will you chip in $10 before our end-of-month deadline this Sunday at midnight to be a part of the solution to prevent further climate disasters?

These heat waves pose a serious threat to our health and security. I'm talking about major loss of human life, crops failing, putting livestock and food security at risk. We could face power shortages and increasing strain on emergency and health services.

Despite knowing the risks climate change poses, the United States Supreme Court has massively undermined President Biden's ability to act. Today, Congress is debating a new package which would be a critical step forward, but we also know we can't rely on them alone -- the states must also act.

Together, I know that we can keep communities here in Washington, across the country, and across the world safer from the worsening effects of climate change. But we will have to keep fighting harder than ever to demand the necessary, bold action to tackle this crisis head on.

To achieve real solutions we must come together now. Join us in our month-end fundraising goal of 5,000 grassroots donations. We can only hit this goal by coming together, now.

Please, chip in $10 right now before Sunday at midnight to support our work halting climate change and preparing and preventing future climate disasters.
