ATTN: WV Can't Wait Members, Volunteers, Candidates, and Allies

We are on the lookout for West Virginia's best elected officials -- the city councilors, school board members, lawmakers, and county officials who choose the side of local people over out-of-state corporate interests. It takes a lot of courage to put your name on the ballot, especially when you're not an establishment, big money politician. We want to make sure these folks have what they need to succeed.

That's where you come in. Nominate an elected official here to receive support from WV Can't Wait.

WV Can't Wait elected officials get access to the following:  

 * Access to an annual governance retreat, to learn skills and trade ideas with other lawmakers -- at no cost 

 * On-going policy, communications, and legal support from our Governance Director Rosemary Ketchum 

 * Monthly workshops (for City Councilors and School Board members) to meet with policy experts and other elected officials 

 * Access to emergency mental health, personal security or other services, as needed 

 * Support for their re-election campaigns (a personalized webpage and door cards, ads, textbanking, candidate training, volunteer help, voter lists, and more)

In return, we ask WV Can't Wait elected officials to pledge never to punch down, never to take corporate cash, never to cross a picket line, and to keep fighting for the issues that matter to all West Virginians -- not just the rich and powerful. We've supported Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and third-party candidates. We care more about whose side their on than the letter next to their name. Right now, there are 21 WV Can't Wait elected officials -- and we are open to adding more.
