Governor McKee is surging , John!
First, the Governor released his first campaign commercial, and his mom became a star. [[link removed]] The positive feedback we’ve gotten about this ad has been incredible – from political insiders and reporters to folks at festivals and community events all across the state. Our team, the McKee family, and especially Willa have been blown away by the response.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out our first ad here:

Then, we received a flurry of HUGE endorsements from organized labor, including Rhode Island’s largest labor federation, the AFL-CIO–which represents over 80,000 workers. [[link removed]] Governor McKee has also picked up support from the teachers, nurses, firefighters, plumbers, and iron workers’ unions.
These new endorsements make it clear: Team McKee has momentum! But we cannot afford to slow down or get complacent. This is a tight race; it’s critical that our team has the resources to communicate with as many voters as possible.
Now, it’s crunch [[link removed]] time! [[link removed]]
The election is 47 short days away, and Rhode Islanders will begin to cast their ballots even sooner – in just 27 days! With our ads on the air and our organizing team in the field, we *have* to hit our fundraising goal for this month by Sunday evening to stay on track with the campaign budget.
We know that when voters across the state hear about the Governor’s accomplishments and vision for the future, we will win this election.
The challenge we face now is how expensive it will be to keep the Governor’s campaign ad on television and our team out in the field during this critical final sprint to the primary. Can you chip in today to keep the Governor (and his “Motha”) on TV through the primary? [[link removed]]
Thank you for your support!
