I’m deeply grateful and humbled to have overwhelming support throughout the city for this historic victory. I appreciate all who took the time to vote in this unusual July election! It’s not what we say, but it’s what we do that matters.
This campaign was difficult as a new mother while managing council responsibilities, but motherhood has made me resilient and prepared me to serve another term with a sense of urgency.
Thanks to my husband and our daughter for their sacrifices so I can continue to serve. And I’m grateful for our team, especially our incredible interns. These young folks give me so much hope!
I commit to delivering on the promises I made to address displacement, congestion and crime in our city. I will collaborate with my colleagues to deliver on these promises. Now we need to put our differences aside and must work together for the benefit of all Charlotteans.
