I’d prefer not to email asking you for money. My focus is on fighting for common-sense gun legislation, action on climate change, protecting a woman’s reproductive rights, and lowering costs.

The reality is that I cannot continue that work if I lose my reelection, and New Hampshire is both a purple state and home to some of the most expensive media markets in the country.

Since I only won my last election by 1,017 votes, our budgeting needs to be airtight. My team says that we’re falling behind. That’s bad under normal circumstances – but with Mitch McConnell's dark money super PAC placing a $4.7 million ad buy against me and a public poll showing me down by two points, making budget cuts could set us back even further.

John: will you split $5 or as much as you can between my campaign and Kirsten Gillibrand’s to help us get out of this rut before our end of month deadline? Democrats can’t hold the Senate if we lose in New Hampshire, so your gift will help me win reelection and protect our narrow majority.
