July is wrapping up, and as I was taking a look at this month’s fundraising numbers, I noticed that we’re pacing just a bit behind where we’d like to be in order to hit our target by the end of the month.

Honestly, this is to be expected. This time of year, folks are spending less time online checking their inboxes and more time enjoying the summer weather. And the midterm election isn’t always top-of-mind for everyone. I understand that, but I also want to make something clear: Republicans’ fundraising numbers aren’t slowing down – in fact, they’re picking up the pace.

Our opposition is hoping to catch us off guard and outraise us when we least expect it. But I know this team has what it takes to overcome right-wing megadonors — we’ve done it before! And together, I know we have what it takes to build the resources we’ll need to do it again.
