As Indiana state lawmakers continue trodding on women’s rights at the Statehouse, it is becoming more and more evident that the GOP has grown far too extreme for Hoosiers. 

At the same time, Todd Young is hiding out in D.C., refusing to answer questions about how he will vote should federal legislation be put to a vote. However, it’s no secret that Todd Young  is on the record as being fully in support of abortion bans, with no exceptions for rape or the health of the mother. 

Todd Young is the wrong choice for women and the wrong choice for Hoosiers.

In order to guarantee that our daughters have access to the rights that their mothers and grandmothers fought for, we need to codify them at the federal level. If Todd Young is unwilling to do his job, then we need to replace him with a Senator who will. 

That’s why Tom McDermott is going to the US Senate–to be an ally for women. He understands that no one has the right to control another person’s body. Women should have a right to choose, especially when their own lives are on the line.
