Our primary election is two weeks from today, and I couldn’t be more proud of this campaign and its message. I’m ready to get to work in Congress on the issues that matter most for Wisconsin 03.

However, if we’re going to hold this district for Democrats, our campaign needs your continued support to stay competitive.

We set a goal of raising $40,000 by Primary Day, but we’re not even halfway there yet. Will you rush a contribution of $14 to close this gap and see us through the next 14 days and beyond? [[link removed]]

John, this is a longer email, but it’s about life-changing decisions and I am sharing mine.

When I became pregnant with my first child, my life changed. I was in the Army and in Company Command. I was stripped of command and advised to resign my career in military leadership - something I’d worked years to achieve. Kevin and I married, and I became a stay-at-home military spouse and mother. I gave up the life I had planned. In later jobs, I was hired at entry-level positions because I had taken “time off” to parent.

As soon as I became a mother, I knew that my children would take priority in my life. Yet, as a mom of three, I also feel strongly that parenthood is something no one should be forced into against their will. Becoming a mother was the most defining moment of my life. That must be a personal decision.

I’ll work hard to restore the right to choose once I’m in Congress, but I won’t make it there without your help. If you can, I need you to donate right now to help meet our $40,000 pre-primary fundraising goal before our election two weeks from today. Click here to give >>> [[link removed]]

Roe has fallen, but the attack on our rights has just begun. Without access to essential reproductive care, so many people who cannot afford to have another child, who didn’t plan on having children yet, or who never wanted to be parents will end up with altered lives.

Women will carry this burden. Women will have to give up their jobs because they can’t afford childcare. Women will be tied down to abusive partners because of financial instability. Women will leave the workforce in droves. Women will feel these effects for the whole of their lives.

The end of Roe v. Wade set our progress toward equality for women back by half a century. Once again, too many women will be siloed into being only partners and mothers - no matter what they wanted for their lives.

Abortion access is critical to women’s economic empowerment, and choosing our own reproductive futures is a fundamental right. I’m ready to do everything in my power to restore the right to legal, accessible abortion care in Congress.

If you’re able to help pitch in, anything you can give will go a long way to making our campaign a success. [[link removed]]
