John,

Thank you for opening and reading this email. I am reaching out because I just checked our pre-primary fundraising numbers, and we are starting to fall behind of where we need to be.

The race for WI-03 will be one of the closest in the midterm elections. In 2020, Congressman Kind defeated Republican Derrick Van Orden by less than three percentage points. And with redistricting this year, we must be prepared for an even closer race. That is why we cannot afford to slow our momentum for a single moment.

In addition to being competitive, we know this race will be expensive. Derrick Van Orden, who is running again this year, has nearly $1.5 million in the bank. National Republicans, including Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, are also paying close attention. They think this is a seat they can flip. Hitting each and every fundraising goal is critical if we want to keep up - and this is our most important yet.

I am honored and humbled by the support this team has shown me since I launched my campaign. I know we are building a grassroots campaign capable of taking on Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy, and Derrick Van Orden.

That is why I knew I needed to reach out when I noticed our fundraising slowing down. Please, will you help our campaign get back on track for these last few days before our primary? If we can collectively raise $2,000 today, I know we will have what it takes to close our budget gap: [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Deb
