NEWS FLASH JULY 21 - JIM LAMON FOR U.S. SENATE
REVEALED: MORE EVIDENCE THAT FAKE BLAKE MASTERS SUPPORTED ABORTION

Newly uncovered messages Blake Masters sent to a “left-wing vegetarian co-op”
listserv he belonged to
<[link removed]>
confirm once again that he supported abortion – and the Masters campaign is
still refusing to explain exactly when Masters stopped advocating for the
dismemberment of unborn babies, or why.

When the NRA took a pro-life position, Masters was angry. “When will someone
start a group that’s pro-gun (pro-freedom) AND pro-choice (pro-freedom)?”
Masters wrote. “I would join.”

These are Masters’ own words – and they are more evidence on top of Masters’
pro-abortion writings that previously came to light.

In a 2005 blog post, Blake Masters sided
<[link removed]>
with “Women’s rights groups” who were concerned about then-Supreme Court
nominee John Roberts potentially voting to overturn Roe v. Wade one day.In that
blog post, Masters criticized Roberts for supporting “abortion regulation” and
said liberal groups should stick to attacking Roberts for that instead of
making up more dubious accusations: Soon to be justice Roberts: Another book
smart conservative that remains clueless of his ideological hypocrisy. He would
support the fundamental axiom of self-ownership in economic terms (right to
property, etc, although he falls short of a free trader) but would stray from
it on more...shall we say, internal grounds, as he personally favors abortion
regulation and the conscription mechanism of the selective service.

Roberts has, however, shown judicial discipline in not letting his own views
cloud his decision-making...he reads the law and interprets it. Which, if you
must have a Court, is crucial. Some of the more reactionary Women's rights
groups have attacked him nonetheless, often for ridiculous reasons. Sure, be
concerned about abortion. Great. Me too. But don't make shit up. Case in point:
Slate called him a 'woman hater' because he didn't support a measure that would
(somehow?) financially 'equate' woman-dominated jobs (maid services) with
male-dominated ones (truck drivers). But Roberts correctly pointed out that
this redistributive effort would result in nothing less than 'central planning
of the economy.' Additionally, a former friend of Masters told a news outlet
<[link removed]>
that Masters supported abortion:
Wedel said in a recent interview, Masters had long espoused the views of a
“classic, extreme libertarian” who endorsed “open borders,” backed the gold
standard, and identified as an “outspoken” supporter of abortion rights. “Blake
was the one who convinced me to be pro-choice,” said Wedel, who is now an
attorney in Los Angeles. “I remember him arguing with me. I mean, it was
Tucson, Arizona, in the ‘90s, so it was a very conservative evangelical
community, and he was not that.”

“How can you control somebody else’s life or body?” Wedel said Masters had
once reasoned while questioning the anti-abortion line.
