John,

Right now, workers at Starbucks in Boston are on strike for the third day in a row to demand fair treatment and a better working environment.

In response to their successful union election, management has been bringing in new managers that are cutting hours for unionized shops, understaffing shifts, disciplining workers unfairly, and threatening termination.

I’m calling on Starbucks to stop the aggressive union-busting tactics that are creating a hostile environment for their workers and commit to treating unionized workers with the respect they deserve. The retaliation these workers have faced is illegal.

I fully support these workers’ efforts and stand in solidarity with their movement. That’s why I went out to join their strike yesterday and let them know how proud I am of the work they’re doing.

I will ALWAYS stand with workers — whether in the courtroom or at the picket line.

If you agree that baristas deserve better from the biggest coffeehouse chain in the world, sign my petition standing with Starbucks workers against retaliation and union-busting efforts.

I have seen firsthand how far Starbucks will go to protect their profits, rather than protecting the workers who make those profits possible. Back in 2012, I helped baristas sue Starbucks for violating Massachusetts tip pooling laws — and together, we won back more than $20 million dollars in stolen tips.

Now it’s time to take the next step towards fair pay and better working conditions for workers at Starbucks in Boston, in Massachusetts, and across the country.

All workers have a right to form a union because workers deserve a say in their workplace. Workers deserve fair pay, better working conditions, and to have a seat at the table where their voices are heard.

I will always be a champion of worker’s rights across the country. Standing with Starbucks employees as they are unionizing is so important — because a win for Starbucks workers is a win for workers everywhere.

Add your name now to tell Starbucks that union-busting tactics are unacceptable and that you stand in solidarity with striking workers in Boston.
