Friends,

Yesterday, the House passed another historic bill which codifies the right to marry the person you love. Democrats and Republicans from across the country came together to affirm what most Americans agree is a fundamental freedom.

Unfortunately the vote was not unanimous. 157 House Republicans voted against this bill. These extreme conservatives are not in line with the rest of their party, or the people. They chose to vote based on their personal beliefs rather than the rights of Americans. They refused to grant Americans the fundamental humanity and dignity to love the person of their choice. And they do not believe that Robert has the right to be married to his partner.

In every state, these extremists are winning elections, usurping the Republican party, and threatening to take more and more fundamental rights away from the American people. And this vote has made one thing clear: We can no longer rely on a slim Democratic House majority.

So this November, we need to get out the vote for every Democrat — up and down the ballot — including this seat, because we cannot afford to let our democracy fall into the hands of extremists who are out to represent no one but themselves. But in order to build the infrastructure to hold our Democratic majority, it is going to take a significant amount of resources.

So please, if you can afford it, contribute to Robert’s campaign for Congress today. Robert will defend LGBTQ+ rights and equality for all Americans. [[link removed]]

Robert could be one more vote for progress in the House that could make all the difference.

Thank you in advance for chipping in and supporting our campaign.
