Because of the Supreme Court’s 2013 decision to gut the Voting Rights Act, over 300,000 registered voters in Georgia could be purged as soon as this month.

House Democrats took action Friday to protect the rights of these voters, passing a package of bills to restore the VRA that all but one Republican voted against. But so long as Mitch McConnell and David Perdue are in the Senate, these bills will never become law.

Republicans have sabotaged the right to vote. I am asking you to put your frustration with them into action by donating to my race against David Perdue today. Making a contribution is the most impactful action you can take right now to end Republican control of the United States Senate.

The Republican majority’s first job is to bury any legislation in the Senate that is not pre-approved by the president or their legions of corporate lobbyists. The only bills they have attempted to pass, like the Trump tax scam and attempted repeal of the Affordable Care Act, were literally written by lobbyists in the dead of night.

This system is not fair to the people. It is not functioning as our founders intended. And unless we do something about it, things will only get worse.
