It’s been a busy week in the news for Team Shannon — and that’s GOOD news, so we want to make sure we share the highlights with you.

Last week The Daily Item interviewed Shannon about her career and what she’s learned from talking to voters across the state.

The article highlighted Shannon’s career and experience, especially when it comes to fighting for worker’s rights and battling Supreme Court rulings that would threaten to take away our basic rights.

Here are some of our favorite quotes from that article:

“Liss-Riordan has developed a national reputation for litigating against corporations on behalf of workers, even garnering the nickname ‘Sledgehammer Shannon.’ … Both Liss-Riordan’s law career and her platform are rooted in the idea of fighting for the little guy, whether that be workers, tenants, or marginalized people.”

Shannon was also recognized by The Lowell Sun , which focused on Shannon’s potential to be “the next ‘people’s lawyer’ of Massachusetts.”

As Shannon said to the Sun:

“I’m very excited about this possibility now to step into the public sphere and use my skills and my experience and my passion to fight for all the people of Massachusetts and go up against corporations for taking advantage of us, go up against scammers who are trying to steal from us, steal our privacy.”

We’re so excited to see Shannon and this campaign getting some well deserved recognition. She’s been doing the work for years — now, if we help get her there, she’s ready to continue doing it for the whole Commonwealth.

Shannon has always been a fighter for the people. As Attorney General, we know she will have a massive impact — from working to dismantle the systemic racism in our justice system to fighting back against corporations that would exploit workers in our state.
