John,

As our state legislature is finalizing a reproductive rights bill this week, I want to talk about the important role the office of Attorney General can play in addressing abortion access.

If you agree that the Attorney General should be at the front lines of the fight for reproductive justice, please make a contribution to my campaign now so I can get in office and get to work.

Let’s be clear: abortion is, and will continue to be, legal in Massachusetts.

But there are still those across the Commonwealth who try to limit access and prevent pregnant people from getting the care they want. When we talk about abortion access, we need to talk about crisis pregnancy centers.

Crisis pregnancy centers are fake clinics that deceive pregnant people into believing they offer abortion care.

In reality, they aim to manipulate & dissuade people from getting abortion care and often do not employ medical professionals. They often pose as licensed facilities even though they are not and they are not required to follow codes of ethics or keep medical records private.

And frighteningly, these dangerous, false clinics outnumber real abortion clinics 3-to-1 in Massachusetts.

As Attorney General, I plan to fight back against these coercive groups with every avenue possible.

From investigating clinics for deceptive advertising practices to bringing enforcement actions against centers to expanding multilingual outreach to warn patients about their practices, I will make sure that crisis pregnancy centers that deceive pregnant people in need of care face consequences and no longer pose a barrier to accessing abortion.

Massachusetts needs a fighter, and I’m ready to go to bat for reproductive justice. Will you make a contribution to my campaign so I can do just that?
