North Carolina is a highly contested battleground state where elections are often won by the slimmest of margins. In 2020, this grassroots team fought hard to flip NC-2 — and we did! Since then, my team and I have been hard at work fighting to pass meaningful legislation and making progress for the people of North Carolina.
Over the last year, I’ve introduced more than 40 bills, amendments, and resolutions, and worked across party lines to get things done — from providing families and small businesses with critical relief during the public health crisis, to securing a once-in-a-generation investment modernizing our nation’s infrastructure and accelerating our path to a clean energy future.
But despite the hard work that this team has put in to improve the lives of folks across this district, Republicans have made Wake County a target — and they’ve already begun spending big here to pick up a seat.
And on top of that, Politico just named Wake County one of the 20 counties across the country that will decide the outcome of the midterm elections, so the attacks are sure to ramp up in these final months before Election Day as Republicans try to buy back the majorities in Congress.
So, I’m personally asking you to pitch in to help us fight back against right-wing attacks and protect this seat by chipping in toward our critical mid-month goal. The only way we are going to win this November and continue making progress for the people of North Carolina is with your help.
