*RUBI?Research Units in Behavior Intervention:? Special Purpose Private Schools, CDS Providers, BHH and TCM Providers May Register!*

OCFS is pleased to provide the opportunity for eligible behavioral health providers in Maine to receive training in RUBI, beginning in September 2022. This opportunity is available to providers of *Behavioral Health Respite Care,?Behavioral Health Home (BHH), Targeted Case Management (TCM), Special Purpose Private Schools (SPPS), CDS Providers*, Rehabilitative and Community Services (RCS), Crisis Residential, Children?s Residential Care Facility (CRCF) Services, Therapeutic Foster Care, Children?s Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, and family organizations who serve youth (up to age twenty (20)) in Maine, as well as Home and Community Treatment (HCT) and Outpatient (OP) Therapy providers. ?Preference will be given to individuals who work directly with families of children with Intellectual Disability and Autism diagnoses. The training will be offered statewide and at *no cost* to participants. The participant?s agency (employer) will be eligible for reimbursement for each participant?s time in training and each participant will receive all training materials as well as one year of materials for families.

To participate and receive reimbursement for the training, participants will be expected to complete Level 1 training. Up to *two individuals* from every agency represented will have the opportunity to proceed to Level 2 training after completion of Level 1 training.

Applications must be completed in full. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications will be accepted through *July 22, 2022* and applicants will be notified via email if they are offered a training spot. A link to the application is available at the bottom of this correspondence.

*Requirements*


* Participants must be willing and able to actively participate in sixteen (16) hours of RUBI training (Level 1);
* Those proceeding to Level 2 (train the trainer) will actively participate in an additional twenty (20) hours of weekly small group virtual consultation sessions with a certified RUBI trainer;
* Must have experience working with youth and families.
* May provide services in outpatient, home- and community-based treatment, school-based, residential and/or inpatient settings.
* Because RUBI is a parent training model, participants must be able and willing to actively involve parents and caregivers in sessions. For example, practitioners working in schools or other settings who are not able to meet with or work directly with parents/caregivers would not be able to utilize RUBI with fidelity to the model.
* Provider Agencies who employ individuals attending the training must complete and submit to Seattle Children?s the Agency contact information, W-9 and EIN for reimbursement of time spent in training. The expectation is that the agency will provide the requested information within a week of the request.
* Because the training will be held virtually, participants must provide a physical address to receive RUBI materials prior to the training start date (can be home or work address).
* Upon successful completion of Level 1 training, individuals may proceed to Level 2 training (train the trainer), with approval from the RUBI trainers.

*Financial Reimbursements*


* Agencies employing the participants in RUBI will be reimbursed for the participant?s time in the RUBI Level 1 training, and Level 2 training at a rate of $75.00/hour up to a maximum of $1,200.00 per person for Level 1, and $1,500.00 per person for Level 2.
* For the Agency to be reimbursed, participants must submit a completed invoice. An example invoice will be sent to accepted training participants with submission instructions.
* Reimbursements will be made at two points during the training program: (1) Following completion of RUBI Level 1 Training, and (2) Following completion of RUBI Level 2, Seattle Children?s will send instructions when invoices can be submitted.
* Participants must attend all training days to be eligible for reimbursement. Partial attendance will not be reimbursed.

*Training Format Options*


* *On-Demand Webinars: *Four (4), four (4) hour pre-recorded webinars covering introductory RUBI training materials.? Webinars can be accessed at the Participant?s convenience, with the expectation that viewing of the four (4), four (4) hour webinars shall be completed within a twelve (12) week timeframe.
* *ECHO Model: *Sixteen (16) one (1) hour weekly meetings covering introductory RUBI training materials.? Consisting of cohorts of up to thirty (30) Participants in each cohort.
* *Live Virtual Training: *Two (2) full day live (virtual) eight (8) hour trainings covering introductory RUBI materials. ?Consisting of cohorts of up to twenty-five (25) Participants in each cohort.
