Friend,
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to achieve Will’s success in the Primary, and secure his place on the November ballot!
Exciting Updates:
+ The last update from Riverside County Registrar of Voters shows that there are more registered Democrats than Republicans in this district for the first time in 30 years!
+ The last time Ken Calvert had a competitive election was in 2008 and he only won by 1.8% in a much redder district.
+ We just crossed $1.4 million raised and have now had three record breaking fundraising quarters.
You:
+ Wrote & distributed more than 10,000 postcards
+ Made thousands of phone calls
+ Knocked on doors throughout the District
+ Shared campaign messages countless times on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram; through letters to newspapers; and through personal conversations
You helped the campaign achieve record-breaking fundraising numbers, outpacing every Democrat who’s ever challenged Ken Calvert! With those donations, the campaign:
+ Sent mailers to voters throughout the entire district
+ Aired TV ads
+ Delivered digital ads to thousands of voters
+ Supported the campaign infrastructure, including technology, a campaign office, and small staff
Will’s message was shared throughout the district and across the nation through:
+ Appearances on KESQ and NBC Palm Springs; as well as multiple articles in The Desert Sun; and the Press-Enterprise
+ Articles in The New York Times; San Francisco Chronicle; LA Times; Bloomberg; Washington Post; and appearances on several podcasts
+ Nearly 800 social media posts, across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. For comparison, incumbent Ken Calvert posted 112 times.
Will met with voters directly at:
+ Multiple rallies supporting abortion rights
+ Multiple rallies opposing gun violence
+ Meet & greets and fundraisers
+ Regular appearances at Democratic club meetings throughout the District
+ Canvassing
Primary Results:
+ We held Calvert to under 50%
+ Turnout was nearly even for Democrat and Republican voters
What Team Rollins is doing now:
+ After taking a short breather, we are focused on growing the team through the end of July.
+ In August we will hit the ground running with our grassroots field program and talk to voters in every corner of the district.

The strength of the campaign was acknowledged with dozens of important endorsements from national groups, labor organizations, local elected officials from across the entire District, and national legislators like Adam Schiff and Barbara Boxer.
Now, the next phase of the campaign begins! Take a breath and have a short rest, because your support will be more important than ever as things kick into high-gear later this summer.
We know you’re eager to hear more details about Will’s positions on all the issues; about potential debates; and about yard signs and other merchandise. Please stay tuned!
Thanks,
Matt
