Today, Florida Senate Democrats will be meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss how together, we can defend women’s rights in Florida.
Vice President Harris stood with us as we fought Florida’s 15-week abortion ban. Now that the ban is in effect, it’s on all of us to prevent further restrictions to reproductive rights.

I know that the past month has been incredibly frustrating for us all. It’s heartbreaking that our daughters are growing up with fewer rights than we had.
And as a survivor of sexual assault, I am devastated over Republicans’ choice to cruelly ban abortion after 15 weeks in Florida–without any exceptions for rape, incest, or human trafficking.
But in the face of this battle, I am more honored than ever to be leading Democrats in fighting back for women, girls, and sexual assault survivors. And I know that together with Vice President Harris and Democrats across the country, we CAN protect reproductive rights.
