June may be over, but that doesn’t mean we stop showing our Pride!

Long Beach celebrated our Pride parade this past weekend, and we wanted to share pictures of Robert at Pride with you!

Every day we celebrate our freedom to love whomever we choose, and Robert knows firsthand the power a seemingly simple image of a happy queer couple can hold — especially for kids who don’t feel they can live their truth.

There’s also the real fear that so many Americans have about the future.

It’s no secret that Clarence Thomas and the other 5 conservative Supreme Court Justices are after our constitutional right to privacy after overturning Roe . And we fear they may come for Obergefell next.

We cannot go back to times when the government dictated who we get to love and who we can marry. Because the reality is, if Obergefell is overturned, marriage equality will be in jeopardy across the country.

But we have the power to control our own destiny. We have the power to codify Roe and LGBTQ+ equality into law. But we need to keep control of the House first.

Robert is so proud to be Long Beach’s first openly gay Mayor. And we hope — with your support — he’ll become it’s first openly gay Congressman. Because representation matters.
