NBWA releases Beer Purchasers’ Index for November 2019
Today, NBWA released the Beer Purchasers’ Index (BPI) for November. The index surveys beer distributors’ purchases across different segments and compares them to previous years. The reading was down from the record-high October, but comparable with November readings from the past few years.

Brooklyn Brewery announced a strategic shift towards a greater emphasis on branding, marketing and using distributor partners to sell its beverage portfolio, saying, “We need to transform into a company that develops and sells unique and well-executed products that our distributors can sell on their own.”
Jobs growth soars in November as payrolls surge by 266,000
The jobs market turned in a stellar performance in November, with nonfarm payrolls surging by 266,000 and the unemployment rate falling to 3.5%, according to Labor Department numbers released Friday. These totals easily beat the Wall Street consensus.
