john,

We set this goal for John to travel to all 29 counties in TX-23 and meet with constituents in every single one as part of his “Boots on the Ground” tour back in April.
Now it’s week 13 and we couldn’t be more excited about all the people John has been able to meet and the enthusiasm we’ve been seeing.

Because the true value of the tour is the connections and relationships we are making across TX-23.

We are committed to go where few elected officials go, like the small town of Quemado, TX in Maverick County.

These communities feel forgotten and are grateful to have someone like John listening.
That’s why he’s been visiting all corners of the district from small towns to big cities, from Pecos and Fort Stockton to San Antonio. He’s been talking with folks about the issues that matter to them, whether that’s joining Moms Demand Action to talk about gun violence or marching for reproductive rights.

And people are watching — the tour has been getting attention from local news outlets like the Big Bend Sentinel!

Before we share some highlights from the article with you, will you chip in $4.37 to cover a gallon of gas, or more if you can spare it, so we can keep filling up John’s tank and make sure he can keep up this momentum and visit every county in the district?

Here's a quote from the article:

"Because Texas’ 23rd Congressional District is so expansive — including San Antonio, the seventh largest city in the U.S., many miles along the U.S.-Mexico border, bilateral trade ports, oil fields of the Permian Basin as well as aerospace company Blue Origin near Van Horn and a potential rare earth mine in Sierra Blanca — the district is facing broad challenges, said Lira.

'What happens here is going to have serious implications not only to you and I, but for our fellow Texans, for our nation, and actually has a global impact. We need somebody in this seat that takes his job seriously,' said Lira. "

John is the candidate who cares about this district, who cares about Texans, and who will take action to protect our families and bring about the future they deserve. We know that — now let’s keep getting John out into the district so everyone else knows it too.

Making sure we can get John’s van to each and every county is one of the most vital logistics of this tour and to afford the rest of this trip, we need your help to fund the gas. Will you chip in and cover one gallon of gas for John today?

Let’s keep it up,
Team Lira
