I've always had this community’s back and, since launching my re-election campaign, I’ve been struck by how much you have my back too.

I was born in San Francisco and spent my early years right here in the District 10 neighborhoods of Bayview and Potrero Hill. Over the years, I have watched as our city became more unaffordable and difficult to make ends meet in. We can’t make progress until we make San Francisco a safer and more affordable place to live.

I know we deserve better, which is why I chose to run for office. I’m proud to say that with your support, we’ve made progress on every single promise I made during my first day in office a little under four years ago.

But there’s still more to do, John. We need to create public safety solutions to stop gun violence, secure more affordable housing, and improve our public schools.
