John

Last week, the far-right Supreme Court continued its path towards destroying our planet by nuking the EPA’s ability to regulate carbon emissions.

This decision is a major setback for the Biden administration’s agenda to zero out carbon emissions from power plants by 2035 and cut our country’s emissions in half by 2030. And, it puts us all in jeopardy by setting a precedent that will limit government agencies’ capacity to establish new regulations.

As global temperatures rise at an alarming rate, our federal government has a moral obligation to meet this moment and act now. If we’re serious about saving the planet, we must expand the Supreme Court. Please join Mondaire by adding your name calling on Congress to pass the Judiciary Act of 2021 and expand the Court. Across our country and globe, low-income communities and communities of color are exposed to polluted air and often lack the basic infrastructure needed to withstand extreme weather events caused by climate change.

As long as the far-right holds a supermajority on the Supreme Court, we will continue to see egregious attacks on our rights and climate. It’s time to push Congress to ensure a livable future by taking action to expand the Court and ensure those experiencing the worst of the climate crisis are not ignored.

John, we must act now to expand the Court and address the climate crisis with the urgency this moment demands. Please join Mondaire by adding your name to demand Congress pass the Judiciary Act of 2021. [[link removed]]
