#MoscowMitch McConnell, champion of respect, decency, and generosity, is eating his own words and showing America just how much of a weak, spineless turtle he is. Where once he lovingly referred to Joe Biden as “a real friend” and “a trusted partner,” McConnell is now silent as Trump and the GOP assail his character from every angle.
Kentucky voters have been paying attention to Mitch’s weak behavior -- Republicans lost the governorship despite Trump campaigning hard and the state being R+15, spelling dark omens for McConnell’s re-election bid in 2020. Now, he and his Democratic challenger, Amy McGrath, are nearly neck-and-neck in the polls, showing just how vulnerable he is.
Sadly, we know Mitch doesn’t listen to the will of voters or even care what they think -- he only cares about continuing his reign of hypocrisy and conservative stonewalling in the Senate. We need to know what Democrats think of him so we can create the best strategy to get rid of him in 2020:
