John,

Republicans' 1820 Super PAC just launched nearly $400,000 in ads supporting Collins' campaign.

We're not surprised. 1820 PAC is funded by the billionaire CEO of the country's largest private equity firm, the Blackstone Group. He called the GOP tax bill a "whopper" for the billions the private equity industry stood to gain. Now, in return for Collins help in passing the tax bill, he's funding a super PAC to boost her reelection and his company is the top contributor to her campaign.

This right here is everything people hate about politics, and it's why we are funding our campaign differently -- powered by lots of people giving modest donations. But that means we have to ask:

Can you make a $3 contribution now as a way of saying you have had ENOUGH of Susan Collins' high-dollar, special interest fundraising?

Susan Collins' campaign is bankrolled by big donors and corporate PACs. We saw that on her fundraising report last quarter. But if we keep fighting, we're going to replace her with Sara Gideon, a real champion for working people.

All our best,

Team Gideon
