While Speaker Nancy Pelosi campaigned for conservative anti-abortion
Democrat Henry Cuellar in the TX-28 primary for the House, Justice
Democrats fought in support of Jessica Cisneros — a progressive,
pro-choice woman of color.

Even after the Supreme Court leaked their opinion overturning Roe v. Wade,
corporate Democrats stood with Cuellar. Cuellar is so extreme on abortion,
he accepted an award from a right-wing anti-abortion group called March
for Life. And now after the Court’s Roe decision, the Democratic
establishment isn’t taking the bold action we need in order to protect
abortion access in America.

It’s leaders like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the first candidate we helped
elect to Congress, who are speaking out for bold, critical action to
ensure people can get abortion care. At Justice Democrats, we know we
can’t just elect Democrats, we have to elect BETTER Democrats.

corporations and the donor class want to protect the status quo. Justice
Democrats is fighting to upend the status quo — to protect abortion
access, pass Medicare for All, secure a Green New Deal, and so much more.

The Democratic Party is spending resources to STOP our candidates. They
worked hard to protect anti-abortion Cuellar instead of supporting
Jessica, the candidate who supported abortion rights and union organizing.
It’s time for the Democratic Party to support a new generation of leaders,
not incumbents aligned with pro-life extremist groups and fossil fuel
companies. It’s backward.
