John—
In a remarkable moment, Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in today as the 116th Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court—the first Black woman in our nation’s history to hold that title.
In the years to come, Justice Jackson will be a pillar for justice, equity, and freedom. Following President Biden’s historic nomination of Jackson, NARAL members played an essential role in supporting her confirmation by messaging and calling senators on her behalf.
Justice Jackson’s historic, momentous rise to the Supreme Court should serve as a reminder to us all: to persevere, to overcome adversity, and to stay true to our values, no matter the odds.
And to be frank, the odds right now are truly stacked against us. In the wake of the Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, state after state has moved to ban or restrict abortion access—pushing abortion care out of reach for millions of people.
That’s why we’re inviting every single one of NARAL’s members—including you!—to fight back for reproductive freedom by signing up as a volunteer today.
VOLUNTEER TODAY
Volunteering with NARAL is a great way to get involved locally for the fight for reproductive freedom, at a time when it’s so badly needed.
Once you sign up, an organizer from our team will get in touch with you to talk about the ways you want to join the fight—whether it’s making calls to voters in critical states and districts, hosting events or rallies in your area, or showing up at your own state capitol to advocate for reproductive freedom.
It’s easy and fun and so, so, so important.
Help celebrate the historic occasion of Justice Jackson’s swearing-in by volunteering in the fight for reproductive freedom today.
