She’s a role model for me and for so many others — showing us exactly what it means to fight for our rights, advocate for change, and never back down.

Now she is facing one of the most challenging fights of her life. As you may know, because of redistricting, my mom has a new district with new opponents, including another incumbent sitting member of Congress. But unlike him, she has represented 61% of the newly redrawn NY-12 for almost a decade. It’s time for us to show up for her just like she has shown up for us, year after year in the halls of Congress in Washington.

I’m asking for you to join me, John, in donating before the end-of-quarter deadline on June 30th. My mom has less than two months before the primary election, and every day and dollar counts. Please show your support by chipping in $10 here → [[link removed]]

My mom has broken barriers her entire career, John, — from being the first New York City Council member to give birth while in office, to becoming the first woman to ever chair the House Oversight Committee. And with every barrier she’s broken, she’s turned around and opened doors as widely as possible. She pioneered paid family leave for the New York City Council — and then went on to secure it for all federal employees once she was in Congress. As the leading champion of the Equal Rights Amendment, she has fought relentlessly to make sure everyone’s rights are fully protected — by writing gender equality into the Constitution.

John,This work matters today more than ever. Our rights are under attack, and strong female leaders in Congress are more important than ever. That’s why it’s so important that we stand with my mom now in her fight for reelection.

As her daughter, but more importantly as a NY-12 constituent, I’m asking you for your support of her re-election campaign before the primary. Can you chip in $10 to support my mom’s reelection campaign today? [[link removed]]

With the deepest of gratitude,

Virginia Maloney
