It’s easy to call yourself a progressive, but actually being one requires taking hard votes rooted in conviction, not political games.
When the Bush administration lied about WMDs, I refused to vote for the Iraq War because I was looking at evidence — not poll numbers.
And when Donald Trump committed clearly impeachable offenses, I pushed for his impeachment — even when it was politically difficult.
Elizabeth Warren and the Working Families Party back me because they know that I always root my votes in what’s best for working families.
I’m the only candidate running who can say all of that, because I walk the walk —even when it’s hard or politically unpopular.
New Yorkers deserve a principled progressive who is in public service for the right reasons.
