I hope you're as excited as I am to meet my good friend Congressman Chip Roy of Texas and join us for an event on Saturday, July 16, in Fluvanna.
If you haven’t had a chance to meet Congressman Roy, you will not want to miss this event. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, is actually from the Commonwealth, and loves visiting our district that he called home during his college years. He is a former federal prosecutor and top advisor to many prominent elected Texas officials. He previously served as chief of staff for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and served as a senior advisor to then-Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX).
He now serves with me on the Board of the House Freedom Caucus, and is a member of the Judiciary and Veterans Affairs committees. Chip Roy is truly one of the most passionate and effective conservative voices in Congress!
The event will be held on Saturday, July 16, at The Pole Barn on Pleasant Grove, at 271 Pleasant Grove Drive in Palmyra, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private reception for event sponsors will be held at 4:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided by Wahoo BBQ.
