Friend,

I am deeply disturbed by last week’s news that the Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Roe v. Wade has been settled U.S. policy for nearly five decades. It has protected women’s rights to make fundamental personal choices about issues of reproductive health.

After the court has overturned decades of precedent protecting the right to choose, I’ve been working to restore that right legislatively. And I’m talking to colleagues on both sides of the aisle, trying to find bipartisan support to federally protect reproductive freedom.

I want you to know that I am 100% committed to fighting for the right to choose.

Now more than ever, I need you with me. So I’m asking you to add your name to show your support for codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law. [[link removed]]

Friday’s decision was a clear, targeted attack on women’s rights — but it’s also setting a precedent for an attack on the freedoms and rights of all Americans.

Our path forward is clear: Here in Congress, we must vote to codify the right to abortion into law.

More than a dozen states have “trigger laws” in place, meaning that today we are already seeing a domino effect of severely restricted reproductive rights in communities across the country. There is an acute and urgent need for federal protections to be enacted as quickly as possible.

Right now, please add your name to show that you support codifying essential reproductive rights into law. [[link removed]]

I won’t stop fighting for this, and I’m glad to have you by my side as we push forward.
