Yesterday, the House Intel committee released its report on impeachment, and it did not disappoint. The report includes previously unseen call records from Rudy Giuliani and Devin Nunes (the ranking GOP member of the Intel committee and the face of the Republican opposition to impeachment) highlighting their connections to the extortion efforts.

Today marks a momentous day -- the impeachment inquiry has moved from a preliminary inquiry in the House Intelligence Committee to a full-blown hearing in the Judiciary Committee. Trump was given the opportunity to participate in the hearings today and have lawyers present, but instead, he's decided to pout like a child, hide in the corner, and go on Twitter.

Last month, we witnessed courageous witnesses like Fiona Hill, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, and former ambassador Marie Yovanovitch stand up for the truth and for the America we believe in. Even Gordon Sondland, Trump mega-donor and current E.U. ambassador, sang like a bird in his testimony, revealing both that he was following orders from the president to pressure Ukraine AND that V.P. Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were in on it, exposing the rot festering in our highest office.

But after all this, Trump will probably still be on the ballot in 2020, so we need EVERY Democrat to step up. In 2016, millions of Democrats stayed home, handing the election and the future over to a tyrannical, chaotic Cheeto and his GOP lackeys like Mitch McConnell. If we're not careful, this could happen again in 2020. Especially because it's difficult to beat a sitting president, no matter who it is.
