The 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature came to a close earlier this month, and Governor John Bel Edwards has been hard at work making sure bills that will move our state forward become law.

One bill that he recently signed was Louisiana's own version of the CROWN Act by Rep. Candace Newell. The legislation amends Louisiana's definition of discrimination to include the protection of Louisianan's hair texture, natural hairstyles, & protective hairstyles.
