🌹 Self-Managed Abortion Info & Organizing 🌹

TODAY: Monday, June 27th at 6:00 PM, we're holding an Abortion Rights work session at 711 Catherine St SW. Join us as we call our friends, family, and coworkers about the fight for abortion rights and how to get involved. RSVP here.

Abortion is a Human Right. Free Abortion On Demand Without Apology.

Wednesday, June 29th at 7 PM, Join us in an information-sharing session about self-managed abortion at 711 Catherine St SW.  Abortion pills are safe, effective, and private! In this session, we'll go over what a medication abortion is, talk about the history of self-managed abortion with pills, and share the publicly available World Health Organization protocols for individuals self-managing their abortions. This session is not medical or legal advice!

✊ June 24th Abortion Protest ✊

Hours after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, we joined with PSL Atlanta to march for abortion rights and rally in front of the Georgia Capitol. Here are some pictures from the protest, where thousands of working people took a stand to demand Legal, Safe and Free Abortion.

This protest is one of many to come! Abortion bans are class warfare that will hurt millions of people, particularly Black people, poor people, and those living in red states. Striking down Roe v Wade is an attack on the working class in this country. DSA is committed to the liberation of all people having freedom and control over their own lives and bodies - nothing less. Our autonomy should not depend on the whims of nine unelected lifetime appointments but on the democratic will of the people. Take DSA's pledge to fight back for Abortion Rights.

☕ Ansley Mall Starbucks Union Victory ☕

Last Tuesday, the Ansley Mall Starbucks won its union election 11-3! They join more than 100 stores already unionized across the nation, including the Howell Mill location here in Atlanta. We're hoping this unionization victory leads to continued organizing beyond the summer!

We are thrilled to see our members apply all they learned in their organizing efforts over the next year. Over 4,000 people attended the conference, including over 300 DSA members, and 6 from Atlanta! It's great to see that the labor movement is growing stronger every day.
