In the last decades, the Supreme Court has recognized the progressive values of our Constitution and country -- they upheld women’s rights, affirmed gay marriage, and ordered desegregation nationwide. But Mitch McConnell decided he didn’t like progress, so he blocked President Obama’s final Supreme Court nominee from being confirmed and cemented a GOP majority on the bench for a generation with Trump nominees Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. Since then, the Court has upheld restrictions to abortion, allowed Trump’s Muslim ban to go into effect, and are now poised to destroy Roe v. Wade and DACA.
Mitch McConnell and the GOP will do anything to keep control of power, so if Democrats want any shot at taking back the Supreme Court and restoring progressive values, we must take back the Senate. We’re trying to shape our 2020 Election Strategy, and we can’t do that if we don’t know where involved Democrats stand on this issue:
