Earlier this month, I officially became the Democratic nominee in California’s 40th District. But what’s important to note is how we did it:

We built a grassroots movement from the ground up and without a cent from corporate PACs. With your help canvassing, donating, and spreading the word about our campaign, we are one step closer to having representation that truly works for our community.

Working families in Orange County and across the country are facing enormous challenges -- price gouging at the pumps, high prescription drug prices, a broken health care system, and an economy that favors the ultra wealthy over the middle class. I’m running to create meaningful change on these issues. Now that we are on to the general election, we have no time to waste.
