Yes, that’s me.

Protesting the rising cost of student fees at NYU in 1981.

And if you’d have told younger me — member of the Fairness Committee in High School — that one day I’d grow up to become Mayor of New York City...

That one day we’d actually reduce income and wealth inequality in the largest and most diverse city in America...

That we’d raise the minimum wage, usher in paid sick leave, and make pre-K and 3-K available for FREE...

I would have told you that you were crazy.

Fighting for fairness, for what is right, has always been part of who I am. It was who I was in high school, in college, on the City Council, as Public Advocate, and as Mayor.

And it’s what I will do Congress, as well.

No one will work harder. But I simply cannot get there alone.

We will be outspent by self-funders and people scooping up huge checks.

But we don’t need to outraise our opponents, we will outwork them. And if we have the resources we need, we’re going to win.

Can you please contribute $5, $10 or whatever you can afford before our FEC fundraising deadline comes to a close in just a few days? It all adds up when we’re all chipping in.
