john,
In TX-23, I’m running against Republican incumbent Tony Gonzales in the district that just suffered the most deadly mass shooting in 10 years.
Tony's response was "not today."
Last year Tony Gonzales voted against both the Bipartisan Background Checks Act and the Violence Against Women Act, as well as stripping Red Flag Laws.
Just a few weeks after the massacre at Robb Elementary, he voted against the Protecting Our Children Act and gleefully pushed for "No mandatory waiting, No hardware bans, No age bans, No universal background checks, No Charleston loophole."

Now it’s time for Texans to return the favor and vote no to Tony Gonzales this November.
Will you donate to my campaign right now to help me unseat my Republican opponent? I support commonsense gun solutions that will keep American children and families safe. He does not. The choice is clear. With so much at stake, we have no time to waste.
Republican leaders like him try to tell us that the only way to protect our Second Amendment Rights is to oppose all gun safety reform measures.
I don’t accept that.
As a Marine veteran and a gun owner myself, I understand the reasons to possess a firearm. But I also know that we can protect our right to bear arms while doing what it takes to protect our families and communities from being ripped apart by violence.
This is why I am running to represent TX-23.
Because the majority of Americans already support passing gun safety reforms to prevent gun violence, and we deserve to have representatives in Congress who will listen and take action on behalf of our communities.
If you agree that Americans deserve real representation in Congress, make a donation now. We cannot continue sending people to Washington who will vote with the NRA 100% of the time. We need real leaders who will stand up to the gun lobby and demand immediate change.
Every day we wait is a day that more lives will be lost to gun violence.
We can do this, together.
