In the summer of 2021, the national average for a gallon of gas was $3.06. It’s now $4.97 – and, in Washington State, it’s $5.51. That’s a heavy burden for most Americans. But rather than helping, Schrier is busy deflecting blame.

Schrier’s blamed the skyrocketing price increase on the war in Ukraine, despite prices rising before the war began. And she’s accused oil companies of illegal price gouging and profiteering – a debunked talking point her party pushes.

The reality is our nation is facing an oil supply shortage at a time when demand following the pandemic increased. And the low supply is due to policies backed by Schrier.

The price of gas has become unaffordable. Working families need a change of course.
