Happy Father’s Day! Today, we get to celebrate all the incredible fathers and paternal role models who have shaped our lives and the lives of those around us.
I also want to wish a special Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Martin — who I know reads these emails. He fled Cuba at the age of seven and worked tirelessly throughout his life to create a better future for his family. I am proud to be my father’s daughter, and I admire him tremendously. |
When I was diagnosed with stage four cancer, my dad was always by my side, and continues to do that today – in the workplace and throughout this campaign. Growing up, he instilled the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity in me — values I hold myself to every day. Today, I hope we can all take the time to appreciate the fathers and paternal role models in our lives that have worked tirelessly to make sure their children can thrive.
