Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, I spoke on the House floor highlighting how the Biden administration's policies are driving up gas prices. I also urged support for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers' bill, the American Energy Independence from Russia Act, and my bill, the Strategy to Secure Offshore Energy Act. Republicans are at the table with commonsense legislation to address President Biden's energy crisis, however, every proposal we've put forth has been blocked. You can watch my remarks by clicking here or on the image below. On Thursday, I joined my GOP Small Business Committee colleagues in sending a letter to Treasury Secretary Yellen requesting information on her refusal to fulfill her required responsibility to testify before the House Small Business Committee. While small business owners across the country suffer as a result of this administration's harmful policies, Secretary Yellen's dereliction of duty is both alarming and unlawful. You can read more on our letter here. I had a productive meeting with TEXO – the largest construction trade association in Texas – to discuss workforce development in the North Texas construction industry. I enjoyed meeting with Texas-24 students on the Texas Electric Cooperatives' Government-in-Action Youth Tour. These bright, young students asked excellent questions – our future is certainly in good hands. Hometown Hero of the Week Our Texas-24 Hometown Hero of the week is Jan Haberer for her incredible efforts raising awareness and funding for the Alzheimer's Association. With her husband Randy, she started her own Walk to End Alzheimer’s team, called “Jandy’s Clan.” Jan’s resilience in the face of adversity is not only an inspiring story, but it has benefited North Texas and all those suffering from Alzheimer's. Read more on Jan’s story here. Rep. Van Duyne in the News The Ingraham Angle Click here or on the image above to watch the interview.
