John, the racist media attacks on Mondaire just keep on coming.

Nearly 80% of members of Congress have voted by proxy over the last year. You never hear about it.

But this week, the right-wing rag known as the New York Post published a story criticizing Mondaire for voting by proxy for a few days last summer.

What’s the difference this time? Why all the faux Republican outrage? And why a front-page story when other members of Congress have voted by proxy far more frequently?

Mondaire is Black and openly gay—and he’s been calling out the GOP on their BS.

To make matters worse, they even slapped a photo on their front page claiming it was Mondaire – when it clearly wasn’t him.

Mondaire has always been one of the most heavily targeted Democrats in Congress. Tucker Carlson did a segment on him just a couple of weeks ago when Mondaire stood up to Republicans and the gun lobby, and the threats have been pouring in.

On the eve of Juneteenth, we're seeing racism rear its ugly head yet again.

Representatives on both sides of the aisle have used the House’s proxy voting policy to work remotely. In fact, House GOP conference chair Elise Stefanik used the proxy vote while appearing with Trump at a Mar-a-Lago fundraiser just earlier this year.

Either way, we know this outrageous story won’t be the last misleading attack on Mondaire. Right-wing media outlets like the New York Post and Fox News spend countless hours trying to stoke outrage about Mondaire and his policy agenda, and it's critical that we have the resources to fight back against their lies and misinformation.

While they stay busy attacking Mondaire, he is going to remain focused on speaking truth to power and fighting for what matters to working families: a living wage, Medicare for All, a livable planet, racial and LGBTQ+ justice, and so much more.

But he cannot do this crucial work alone. He needs a strong grassroots movement alongside him. And since our campaign doesn’t accept support from corporate PACs, we rely on small-dollar donations from emails just like this one to fight back against harmful misinformation.

Keeping our campaign strong with grassroots support is the number one way we can communicate the truth about Mondaire, our policies, and what our progressive movement is fighting for. If you can, please consider pitching in today to join our fight: [[link removed]]
