Dear John,
Today is Giving Tuesday, and it could not have come at a more critical moment
for refugees and asylum seekers around the world. The global refugee crisis is
growing. There are constant new barriers to those seeking safety here in the
United States. Our work at HIAS is desperately needed – and so is your support
for our work.
To help us meet the growing need to support refugees, a generous donor, HIAS
Board Chair Robert Aronson, is matching all gifts up to $35,000 – only for
Giving Tuesday.
We’re committed to extending a welcoming hand to those fleeing violence and
persecution, no matter what. Your generous support is what makes that possible.
So today, we are counting on you to seize this rare opportunity and double your
impact for refugees. Will you make your first gift of $18 or more now and have
every dollar doubled to help refugees and asylum seekers find safety and
freedom?
Please, John, click here to make your first gift of
$18 or more, in honor of Giving Tuesday. Your donation
will be doubled to help refugees and asylum seekers around the world who rely on
your help.

HIAS has fought tirelessly for refugees in 2019:
* We’ve opened new offices in five countries, including Peru and Colombia, to
address the massive refugee crisis in Latin America.
* We’ve advocated to raise the cap on refugees accepted into the United States.
* We’re suing the Trump Administration for an unlawful Executive Order that is
effectively a state-by-state, city-by-city refugee ban.
* We’ve provided urgently needed legal aid to asylum seekers at the U.S./Mexico
border.
It is both our Jewish and our American values that call us to continue this
work: to welcome the stranger, even when some would rather slam the door. But we cannot do what is required of us without your generous support. With
only hours until the match expires at midnight, I hope you’ll take advantage of
this rare opportunity to double your impact.
Please, click here to make your first tax-deductible Giving Tuesday gift. Every
dollar you give before midnight will be doubled to help HIAS welcome the
stranger and protect the refugee
