Dear NCR supporter,
On this Giving Tuesday, please consider a donation to NCR [[link removed]].
We need your support. Your generosity expands our mission, increases our reach,
and helps us to serve you better.
I like this day. It's still a relatively new phenomenon. It's a day that calls upon
our better angels. It's a day that reminds us good things happen, especially when
good people gather and put their minds to it.
Giving Tuesday began in 2012, first imagined by idealists at the 92nd Street Y in
New York and United Nations Foundation, founded by Ted Turner with a $1 billion
gift.
A response to the increasing commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving
period, the idea was simple enough: set aside one day to encourage people to do
good, to be generous, to give to good causes.
On this Giving Tuesday, in the spirit of thankfulness, allow me to invite you to
do some good to advance the NCR mission, to help us bring peace and justice values
to the public forum through solid, independent, professional journalism. Donate
online here [[link removed]]
or call us at 1-800-444-8910.
Also, on this Giving Tuesday, allow me to offer my thanks to you for years of faithful
support. You are making a big difference. Let's continue our collaboration in the
months and years ahead.

Tom Fox
