John, the country
is experiencing historic heat waves right now. In at least 27 states,
historic high temperatures are threatening lives and power grids.

million Americans

"Dangerously hot" follows more frequent and more extreme flooding,
wildfires, and storms. It even follows record cold temperatures that
halted the power grid in Texas and killed hundreds of people.

John, it’s very
clear that we need historic action to address the climate crisis. It’s
very clear that we need a Green New Deal. Justice Democrats helps elect
leaders like AOC, Cori Bush, and Jamaal Bowman because they are the
leaders ready to fight for our people and our planet, while corporate
Democrats cater to Wall Street, Big Oil, and billionaire donors.

Now is the time for a comprehensive, once-in-a-generation mobilization
that prioritizes front-line communities, combats the climate crisis, and
creates millions of good-paying union jobs. A Green New Deal will
transition away from fossil fuels and dramatically expand existing
renewable power sources with the goal of meeting 100% of national power
demand through renewable sources.

This big, bold policy also provides people across the country with the
opportunity, training and education needed to participate fully and
equally in a green economy, offering jobs to help rebuild our crumbling
infrastructure. It ensures a just transition for all workers, low-income
communities, communities of color, and indigenous communities.

The Justice Democrats in Congress, like AOC, Cori, Jamaal, Rashida Tlaib,
Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley, know our only choice is a Green New Deal.
All while corporate Democrats and the political establishment try to stand
in our way. It’s why we must elect more Justice Democrats this
year, John.
