Hey John,

It’s been one week since Election Day and final results are still being tallied in our race. However, I’ve been digging into the numbers so far and a few big things have popped.

First of all, I’m so happy to share that Josh will come in first! We knocked tens of thousands of doors to make sure our new voters heard Josh’s story and clearly our hard work paid off! We simply could not have done this without all of your help. Thank you.

One other takeaway is that turnout was extremely low in this election. While every registered voter in California received a ballot in the mail, only 18% had been returned by Election Day. That's a BIG problem for us heading into November.
