John --

This is Nathaniel, Pastor Chris’ Campaign Manager.

We are officially two weeks out from this election, and a lot of people have gotten involved in politics for the first time because of Pastor Chris’ campaign. So, I thought this might be a good time for a little Q&A about where we are. Let’s dig in…

Q: This election is almost over. So what do you need my money for?

A: The work we're doing right now to get out the vote is the most important thing we'll do in this election. This is the moment to make sure everyone who supports Pastor Chris shows up and casts their ballot.

We're proud of the organization we've built to do that, but it is only as strong as the will of the people on this team to step up and invest in the work. (By the way, have I said thank you for everything you’ve already done? Thank you!)

But the final two weeks of this election are when we live up to the commitments we’ve made. We need to make sure our organizers on the ground have every resource they need and all the support we can give them. Simply put, as we get closer to June 28th, your dollars are more and more important, not less.

Q: If I give, do I still need to volunteer?

A: Look, the retiring incumbent in this race was in Congress for 30 years. And if one of the establishment folks running now get the seat, our community could be in for another 3 decades of decline.

And these folks are raising serious money. In fact, we’ve heard that a few our opponents plan to spend more than $100K on Election Day alone.

But, money power is no match for people power. Grassroots fundraising paired with a grassroots army of people making phone calls and knocking on doors is how we make sure that we don’t wake up to a sad surprise on June 29th -- you need to chip in AND sign up to volunteer.

Q: If I do have a few bucks to spare, what are you going to use it for?

A: Trust me, I take your investment seriously -- I make sure we don’t waste your hard-earned money.

But there's a ton of work we still need to do to get information in the hands of voters. Early voting is underway. I want everyone to know that it started and when it ends. I want them to know the location of their polling place. I want them to know what they need to bring with them to cast your ballot. I want to give everyone whatever they need to make a plan to vote.

And there are a lot of folks who are still making up their minds. I want to make sure they hear the best form of our final argument (we’re running digital ads, knocking on doors, sending materials to homes, and getting Pastor Chris to as many events and media as possible -- whatever it's going to take for those voters to make their final decisions.

Remember, I’m not just the Campaign Manager, I’m a resident of the 1st Congressional District. I know how important this election is -- not just for us, but for the future of our communities. We can’t leave any of this to chance. We can only be sure of victory if every member of this team is giving it their all.

Tell me -- are you giving it your all right now?

Q: Nathaniel, are you feeling good?

A: You better believe it. Now, let’s go get Pastor Chris elected to Congress!

-Nathaniel
