A few weeks ago, when POLITICO published a leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s private decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, millions across the country finally started to pay attention — marching, donating, and voting for our prochoice majority.
We expect the decision from the Supreme Court any day now, ending federal protections of abortion. This means our work to elect prochoice champions to fight for our reproductive freedoms is more important than ever.
As we're on the precipice of losing protections for abortion care, the GOP continues its laser focus on decimating our bodily autonomy through abortion bans, voter suppression, and anti-trans bills.

We know that reproductive freedom and access are so much bigger than abortion care. Abortion access is so often targeted alongside other bodily autonomy rights: 22 states have curtailed both abortion rights and trans rights simultaneously.
For example, conservatives in Oklahoma recently passed the strictest abortion ban in the country, as the GOP-controlled legislature simultaneously sent a bill to the governor that would prohibit trans kids between pre-kindergarten and 12th grade from using bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity in public and charter schools.
Our work focuses on abortion access, but it is so much bigger.
